Volunteer Opportunities

There are 2 great opportunities to help cleanup the Cuyahoga River this fall.

2016 National Public Lands Day & Cuyahoga River Cleanup

When: Saturday, September 24

Where: River Front Park & Water Works Park, Cuyahoga Falls

Volunteers are being recruited to assist with National Public Lands Day efforts from two main locations; one at River Front Park (Front Street), and the second at Water Works Park (2025 Munroe Falls Avenue). Volunteers will be cleaning up litter and debris in areas along the Cuyahoga River, and planting trees at designated locations near riverbanks.

Volunteers who plan to work in and from the River Front Park area, will meet at 9:00 AM at the River Front Park parking lot (near the Doodlebug Memorial).  Volunteers working in and from Water Works Park, will meet at the Little Stone Shelter at 10:00 AM.  Cleanup supplies and planting tools will be available for project volunteers at each location.

Lunch for all City of Cuyahoga Falls 2016 National Public Lands Day volunteers will be provided at the Little Stone Shelter in Water Works Park at approximately 12:30 PM.

To volunteer for the City of Cuyahoga Falls 2016 National Public Lands Day Project, pre-registration is required.  Please email mcclearyrm@cityofcf.com by Wednesday, September 21st, to pre-register.
