Help! Calling all tree people! Volunteers needed Saturday morning

posted in: Events, News | 0

Calling (okay, begging) for volunteers for this Saturday morning.

Have you planted a tree this year? Here’s your chance.

We need volunteers to plant 90 new trees along a stream to Mud Brook, which is a tributary to the Cuyahoga in Stow.

We’ll start at 8am (yes, there will be coffee and carbs to rev you up,) and go ’til about noon. We’ll meet at the green space between 1424 and 1434 Berkshire Rd. in Stow.

It’s going to be fun and easy. The nice folks in the City of Stow are pre-digging the holes, and providing much mulch, so now we need YOU to pop the trees out of their pots, plop them in the holes, re-fill the soil, and spread a little mulch love so they’ll grow big and strong to help keep the stream healthy. And yes, you’ll get a free t-shirt to show off, er…commemorate, your contribution to the cause.

To volunteer, go to: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/70A0E48ABAF2DA4FE3-mudbrook and sign up. Or call Carolyn at 216-241-2414 x255, especially if you want to bring a group.

Hope to see you there!
